Dapper by Name.
Dapper by Nature.

Commercial Construction & Maintenance for Agents, Owners, Tenants & Golden Years

From boardrooms that command respect, to lounges that invite collaboration.
To you, commercial properties aren’t merely an assembly of walls and lids. They’re spaces that ignite banter. Birth bright ideas. Craft experiences of awe, wonder, brilliance – by George!
We celebrate your acquired taste. Your standards. In fact, we swill, clink, sip and raise our glass to them. Because, like you, we’re acutely aware of the importance of a job well done. And deliver that same spirit on the job site.
Whether it’s for a profitable tenant changeover. A timeless rebrand reveal.
Or a refurbishment for experiential elevation.
Revel in a space that makes a statement.
Yours.
Hang your hat and slide inside.

WELCOME TO DAPPER.

THE DAPPER DIFFERENCE

ONE PORT OF CALL

Why mix moonshine when you can choose straight from the top shelf? Remove the dance where you source, liaise with and coordinate multiple tradespeople’s timelines. Instead, experience the golden trifecta of three services under one roof.

DELIVERS & DELIGHTS

Like the milkman. The shoe-shiner. The bartender. People aren’t indispensable. They shouldn’t change or be replaced at the drop of a hat. That’s why we keep our team small. Everyone knows you by name. And you, theirs.

IN WITH THE OLD

Your time’s precious, we both know that. So quality workmanship delivered within budget and on time is a non-negotiable. “They don’t make things like they used to.” We beg to differ. And strive to revive top-shelf craftsmanship, service and courtesy at every chance.

When my daughter Luna was born, I took some time off work. I’d recently finished my carpentry apprenticeship and some work on my parents’ house.

Their property manager visited me onsite and we discussed his business needs. He had his eyes set on another commercial property maintenance contractor. After garnering a few more contacts in the commercial sales and leasing industry, Dapper was away.

Nothing beats a good old-fashioned Australian coffee

For the last 20+ years, I’ve travelled the globe, honing my trade skills. With a Certificate III in shopfitting and joinery, I’ve recently closed my renovation company in Canada to relocate to Australia. At Dapper, I complete all carpentry work as needed and keep projects running on-time, every time.

Family time is everything to me. My three young kids love adapting to the Australian way of life. Touch footy, nippers and shopfitting. It’s our version of living the dream

Commerce, Operations & Administration

A Rusty Nail (AKA Laphroaig whiskey and Drambuie on ice)

In a past life I was a bookkeeper for 7 years, General Manager at a cosmetics brand for 5 years and a Commercial and Operations Manager for a fashion brand for 4 years. Today, I keep the Dapper books in tip-top shape, perfect all reports and maintain workplace health and safety standards.

Weekends are for whipping up five-star meals, art, grooving, and flexing my landscape gardener muscle. Did I mention I’m the office’s loveable, caring and compassionate eccentric?

OUR HERITAGE.
YOUR FUTURE.

My grandfather founded Queensland Concrete and General Construction (QCGC) on the Sunshine Coast in 1962.

From the age of 16, my father worked there his whole life. My uncles came and went throughout the years, too. Later in life, Dad took over as director of the company until seven years ago, when he retired. QCGC built all the big concrete water reservoirs across Point Cartwright, Buderim, Palmwoods, Maleny… And most of the large concrete water-retaining structures you see on the Coast.

Grandad didn’t tell anyone much about what he did to help people. Once, he became aware that the All Whites and Souths Nambour rugby teams weren’t going to survive. So, he and a couple of other guys got together. One was a real estate agent who knew some land was coming on the market. Grandad bought the two blocks, sold one to a local businessman and gave the other to the football teams.

QCGC secured sponsorships and grants to get the clubhouse built. After many working bees, the change rooms were done too. Many a Saturday arvo, Grandad would sit in the middle of the field with his transistor, listening to the races and watering the grass seeds.

WHY SO DAPPER?

Granfather Rutledge

There’s a lot to learn from my grandfather. Things my father learnt, too. He always knocked before entering a room. And took his hat off at the door. He spoke to the secretary the same way he did the big boss. Less gift-of-the-gab. More heart-of-pure-gold.

Today, these traditional courtesies apply to the way Dapper operates. In a way, it’s in my very blood. We strive to deliver and delight. From first meeting to final send-off.

Our enduring commitment to heritage sparks our drive to rekindle the lost art of chivalry. Not just in the words we write. But in punctual arrivals. Frequent communication. And a handshake where the eyes meet.

At Dapper, it’s not a trend. It’s tradition.

“Throughout the renovation process, I was consistently impressed by the professionalism and expertise of the Dapper team. They communicated with me every step of the way, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Their ability to work within the given budget and timeline was impressive, and the final result speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence. It’s a space that not only serves its purpose perfectly but also leaves a lasting impression on everyone who visits.”

COMMUNITY & CARE

RANGE UNITED RANGEROVERS

Like grandfather and father, like son. We continue the family tradition of supporting the local community through rugby team sponsorships. In fact, Grant’s son plays on the Range United Rangerovers team.

KYAMPISI CHILDCARE MINISTRIES

We believe in giving back. We sponsor a child in Uganda and donate to KCM to help build houses dedicated to child protection, education, healthcare and economic empowerment.
